Singapore & Malaysia 2023 - Part 7

Thursday - August 10th 2023

Our second day at Universal Studios Singapore started with sleeping in, because the park didn't open before 10:00am. After we got up, we headed to Resorts World Sentosa to get breakfast at Starbucks. Once we had our orders it was time to get in line for park opening. Unfortunately it was already very crowded, but soon we were inside Universal Studios. For today we had an Express Pass and so we walked directly to Battlestar Galactica, a dueling coaster. First we rode Cylon, the suspended coaster, and then we did Human, the regular sitting coaster. Both sides were fun, but I liked the suspended version better. Next was Transformers - The Ride, which was basically the same ride that can be found at other Universal parks as well, but it was still great. Then we checked out some shops and enjoyed a cup of fruits and a beer.

Now it was time for one of Universal's best rides, Revenge of the Mummy. Located in the beautifully themed Ancient Egypt area, this indoor coaster is not only thrilling, but also offers a fantastic ride experience with many great special effects. Afterwards we strolled through The Lost World and got in line for Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure. To our surprise we got pretty wet, but that was a welcome refreshment in the hot weather. While we dried up we got a donut and rode Puss in Boots' Giant Journey in Far Far Away.

It was already afternoon and besides a donut and a cup of fruits we hadn't had anything to eat yet. So we decided to get a pizza Louis New York Pizza Parlor. The pizza was really nice and since we still had some time to kill until the next show of Lights! Camera! Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg started, we had ice cream as well. The special effects show was amazing and afterwards we watched the small parade featuring many DreamWorks Pictures characters. Since we did every attraction we wanted to do, we decided to leave the park and get a beer at Harry's Bar. On the way out we stopped in the shops, bought some merchandise and then we said goodbye to that small but lovely Universal park. After we enjoyed a couple of beers, we had dinner at The Goodburger again. Like yesterday we got the delicious Impossible burgers before returning to the hotel.
