Arriving In Singapore
Saturday - August 5th 2023
After an uneventful flight we landed at Sigapore's Changi Airport in the late
afternoon local time. Once we picked up our luggage we went through
immigration and then we were on our way to the famous
Jewel, a nature themed shopping and dining complex at Changi Airport. Jewel is
best known for the amazing indoor waterfall named The Vortex. We were
searching for a restaurant or a bar to grab something to eat, but since it was
very crowded, we decided to leave and head to our hotel.

In Singapore we stayed at the
Dao by Dorsett Hotel, which was about an hour by metro from the airport near the finicial
district. Check in was quick and easy and soon we could refresh in our
lovely room. First we checked out the hotel and its fantastic rooftop pool
and then we got a welcome beer at the hotel bar. Since we hadn't had dinner
yet, we headed out into the city.

By accident we stumbled accross the
Lau Pa Sat Food Market, because of the smell of the grilled satay skewers. At first we got a beer
and then we searched for vegan and vegetarian options. There were so many
Indian food outlets, so I got a dosa filled with potatoes while Claudia had
a plain dose with different dips. We enjoyed the realxed atmosphere and got
another beer until we returned to our hotel.
