Honeymoon 2015 - Part 10

Magic Kingdom

The Magic Kingdom was our least favourite park at Walt Disney World, because compared to the Disneyland Park in Paris, it lost in every aspect. The attractions weren't as good as in France and the park in general just wasn't as beautiful as its counterpart in Europe. That's why we only planned one day there, although we went there already on our first day, but we spent only a couple of hourse there. First we walked into Tomorrowland and did the Peoplemover, which took us around Tomorrowland. Then we lined up for the very boring Space Mountain. Luckily there was no line, otherwise I'm not sure, if we would have done it.

Afterwards we headed to the Fantasyland to use our Fastpass for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Like I already mentioned, it was a cute coaster, perfect for children, but not that exciting as expected. Next was the Haunted Mansion, one of our favourite Disney dark rides. The version in Florida is a bit different to Paris, but it has some very cool special effects. All in all a wonderful ride that is great in every Disney park.

Since it was already noon, we got hungry and decided to get a veggie burger at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. The burger and the fries were okay, both could be warmer, but it was good to see that the fast food at Walt Disney World wasn't really better than at Disneyland Paris. After lunch we did Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress and altough it could need some updates, it's still a lovely attraction. Then we walked over to Frontierland, because our Fastpass for Big Thunder Mountain was valid. The wildest ride in the wilderness was a lot of fun, like always, and now it was time to join Jack Sparrow on a cruise through the Caribbean.

Unfortunately the weather was getting worse and so we took the monorail to Disney's Polynesian Resort to get a cocktail, but first we stopped at Starbucks for a hot cup of coffee. After a Lapu Lapu Cocktail at the Tambu Lounge we took the monorail to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and enjoyed another round at the Mizner's Lounge. Luckily the weather was getting better and so we returned to the Magic Kingdom. There we had dinner at Columbia Harbour House and like the last time we both opted for the vegan chili again. Additionally we got fries and a hummus sandwich.
