Disney's Hollywood Studios
Saturday - January 10th 2015
Today was our first full day in the Disney parks and we chose
Disney's Hollywood Studios because of the Extra Magic Hours in the morning. So right after breakfast at the food court we took the bus to the Studios and walked straight to the Rock'n'Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. It's basically identical to the coaster in Paris, however the theming inside is a bit different. After this cool coaster we queued for one of our all time favourite Disney attraction, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. It was great as always, although I prefer the Tower in Paris due to its great mirror effect.

Next was the Great Movie Ride in the Chinese Theatre. Although we had done that ride in 2008 already, I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. It is a bit dated, but still a nice attraction. Afterwards we had a Fastpass for Toy Story Midway Mania. This attraction was so much fun, but unfortunately it was very popular among guests and so we did it only once. Since we still had some time left until our lunch reservation, we did the exhibition about Walt Disney called One Man's Dream and Muppet Vision 3D, which was as much fun as I remembered it. Then we just walked around the park.

Now it was time for our lunch reservation at the 50s Prime Time Cafe. What a great restaurant and they even served spaghetti with vegan meatballs and a vegan peanut butter milkshake. Claudia ordered the milkshake and it was so delicious.

After lunch we used our remaining Fastpass reservations for Star Tours: The Adventures Continue and for the Tower of Terror again. It was the first time that we experienced the new version of this Star Wars simulator and it was pretty good. However I'm going to miss the original one, if it ever gets replaced at Disneyland Paris.

Since we did everything we wanted to do, we decided to take the boat to EPCOT. Unfortunately many people had the same idea and so the line for the boat was very long. That's why we walked to EPCOT. It wasn't that far, only a 20 minutes walk along the waterway and Disney's Boardwalk.

We entered EPCOT through the International Gateway and since it was so
warm, we decided to get an ice cold beer at the Rose and Crown Pub at
the United Kingdom Pavilion. It was very crowded inside, but luckily we
got a table. There we met a couple from Orlando and so we spent quite
some time there talking to them.

Later we walked around World Showcase and had nachos with guacamole in
Mexico. For dinner we went to Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion,
where we had a vegan stir fry with rice. Then it was time to go back to
the hotel.
