Back Into The Wilderness

Like everyday we had breakfast at the Port Orleans Riverside food court, and like every day we had a coffee and a bagel. As soon as arrived at the Animal Kingdom, we walked to our favourite coaster. After riding Expedition Everest serveral times, I wanted to try Kali River Rapids. In 2008 it was too cold and so I wanted to experience the attraction this time. Unfortunately the weather wasn't so much warmer this year, but I did it nonetheless. Claudia stayed behind, because she was already a bit sick. So I got a poncho to avoid at least some water. The ride itself was very nicely themed and I did get wet, but I had fun.

While I was drying, we just walked around the park. Today we had a lunch
reservation at Tusker House and until our table was ready, we enjoyed a
glass of beer at the Dawa Bar. Claudia and I had already eaten there
during our last visit and we loved it a lot.
Unfortunately this time it wasn't a pleasant experience. The behaviour
of some guests was horrible and disgusting. Is it really so hard to use
silverware and not to touch the food on the buffet with your hands? On
the bright side, we got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald and the chef prepared something special for us. The food wasn't that
bad, actually it was good, but I'm not sure if we will eat there again. Even at
Disneyland Paris the character buffets weren't as crazy as here.

Afterwards we watched the Finding Nemo Musical, which is really good for a
themepark show. We enjoyed every minute of it. Since Claudia didn't
feel so good, we decided to return to the hotel and rest a bit. On our
way out, we got more vegan donuts from BabyCakes NY. Back at the hotel we relaxed a bit,
and in the evening we took the bus to EPCOT to watch British Revolution
again.

Dinner was at the Tangerine Cafe, we both ordered the veggie platter,
and in France we got a Grand Manier Slushy. It was very delicious. Then
it was time to return to the hotel.
