Honeymoon 2015 - Part 7

Disney's Animal Kingdom

Monday - January 12th 2015

Animal Kingdom was the only park left and today after breakfast with coffee and bagels at the food court, we were on our way to the park. This themepark is home to our favourite Disney coaster called Expedition Everest and of course it was our first stop. We had a Fastpass reservation for it, but since it was walk on, we didn't use it. In fact we rode the coaster four times until the crowds got bigger. Then we used our Fastpass for a fifth ride.

After our expeditions to the Himalayas, we walked over to Chester and Hester's Dino-Rama and gave Primeval Whirl a try. That was a cheap wild mouse coaster and it was terrible. I definitely wouldn't line up for that anymore. Now it was time for our Fastpass reservation for Dinosaur. That was a cool ride, which we already enjoyed in 2008. In this attraction a time traveling vehicle took us back to the Dinosaurs.

For today's lunch we went to Pizzafari, but before we paid a visit to the bugs in It's Tough To Be A Bug. In this 3D movie we learned about the tough lives of the bugs and it was better than I remembered. Pizzafari offers vegan pizzas, that's why we had lunch there, but while Claudia liked it a lot, I didn't and got a veggie burger at Restaurantosaurus instead.

After lunch it was time for our last Fastpass, which we used for the Festival of the Lion King show. Since we still had some time left until the show started, we grabbed a beer at the Dawa Bar. While waiting, we watched some African musicians playing in the streets. The Lion King show was great and since we missed it in 2008, we were glad we watched it this year.

Since we did everything we wanted to do, we decided to return to the hotel and spent the rest of the day relaxing at the Muddy Rivers Pool Bar. On the way out we bought a couple of vegan donuts and they were so delicious that it wasn't the last time that we purchased them.

In the evening we had dinner at the food court, we both got pasta marinara, and then we spent some time at the hotel bar.
