Japan 2018 - Part 6

On the Way to Osaka

Sunday - September 9th 2018

The next stop on our Journey was Osaka. After coffee at Starbucks we headed to Shinjuku station to catch the train to Tokyo main station, where the Shinkansen bullet train departed towards Osaka. Once we arrived at the train station, we got the tickets for our reserved seats. Then we boarded the train and to our surprise it was pretty empty the whole train ride to Osaka. Around noon we arrived at our hotel called Keihan Universal City. Unfortunately our room wasn't ready yet and so we took the train back into the city to visit Osaka castle. The castle itself was stunning, but also very crowded. Once we completed the whole tour, we left and stopped at Starbucks for coffee to escape the rain.

Luckily the rain didn't last for long and soon we were on our way to Hard Rock Cafe Osaka. There we enjoyed a couple of drinks until we got hungry. In the internet we read about a restaurant called Chabuton, where you order your meal at a machine. That sounded interesting and since the restaurant had a vegan option as well, we decided to give it a try. Chabuton was located inside a huge electronic store called Yodobashi near Osaka main station. Once we arrived at the restaurant, we were directed to the ordering machine. After we paid directly at the machine, we got a printed ticket with our order and then we were seated. The waitress collected the ticket and a couple of minutes later our vegan ramen soups arrived. Back at Universal CityWalk we spent the evening at the Hard Rock Cafe until we headed back to the hotel.
