Tokyo DisneySea
Tuesday - September 18th 2018
Tokyo DisneySea is considered to be the most beautiful Disney Park in the world, so the anticipation was pretty high. Since we knew that crowds would be as huge as yesterday, we decided to leave the hotel an hour before park opening. So after we got our coffee, we were on our way to the park, which was just 15 minutes by foot from our hotel. When we arrived, the lines were already long. Once the park opened, there was no time to admire the beauty, because we had to rush to the fastpass machine to get a fastpass for Journey to the Centre of the Earth. Luckily that didn't take long and with the fastpasses in our hands we walked over to 20000 Leagues Under the Sea. Unfortunately due to technical problems the ride remained closed in the morning. So we decided to give Indiana Jones Adventure a try instead. To our surprise there was no line at all and so we rode our favourite Disney attraction twice in a row. We loved the ride at Disneyland California, but here in Tokyo it was even better.

Our fastpasses weren't valid yet, so we took a steamboat to Mediterranean Harbour. From there we just strolled around the park to take a look at all the different lands, or ports of call. Along the way we passed Mermaid Lagoon and Arabian Coast, both lands were beautifully themed and soon it was pretty clear, why Tokyo DisneySea is the most beautiful Disney Park. Back at Mysterious Island we finally got on Journey to the Centre of the Earth. Thanks to our fastpasses we could skip the already very long queue. The attraction, like the whole of Myterious Island, was based on the books of Jules Verne and was amizingly themed. The ride itself was also great, but honestly, it was not as great as anticipated, because it was too short and the story was just okay. Now we checked if 20000 Leagues Under the Sea was already open. The Castmember told us, that within the next half an hour the ride might open, so we should come back later. That was a great excuse to get a refreshing beer, because Mysterious Island was home to a nice little restaurant called Nautilus Galley. Claudia and I both got a beer and once we were finished, 20000 Leagues Under the Sea was also open. The waiting time was only 15 minutes and so we got in line. That attraction was not as thrilling as Journey to the Centre of the Earth, but I really enjoyed it, especially the cool effects.

Since it was already early afternoon, the crowds got really big, but to our surprise there was no waiting time at all at Sindbad's Storybook Voyage. So we gave it a try and that dark ride turned out to be one of my favourite attractions at Tokyo Disney Resort. Unfortunately the queues at all other attractions were pretty long, so we just walked around the park to check out the merchandise shops. We also got pepper flavoured popcorn and a Mickey shaped ice cream bar. Afterwards we left the park due to the huge crowds and relaxed a bit at our hotel.

In the evening we returned for dinner at
Casbah Food Court. There we got the only vegan dish available
throughout the park. The vegan curry was really delicious and so it was
not the last time we ate there. After we were finished with our dinner,
it started to rain. So we left again, stopped at Lawsons mini
supermarket for beer and snacks and spent the rest of the evening
watching TV in our room.
