Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

Today we left Dubai for Abu Dhabi. After breakfast we checked out and hit the
road towards the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. Along the way we
stopped at Last Exit, a themed rest stop, which looked really cool. About an hour later we
arrived at our hotel at Yas Island. In Abu Dhabi we stayed the
The WB Hotel, themed after the famous Hollywood Studio Warner Bros. Once checking in was
completed we headed to our room and got ready for a fun day at Ferrari World
Abu Dhabi.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi
is located right next to Yas Mall, the entrance to the indoor thempark is
even in the shopping mal. Since we still had time to kill until the Ferrari
World opened at noon, we stopped at Starbucks for iced coffee. Finally the
park opened and once we were inside, we headed directly to Flying Aces, a
huge Intamin wing coaster. Although we were basically the only ones in the
park, it took them forever to launch the coaster, so operations were not
good and unfortunately that continued for the rest of the day. Despite the
bad operations the coaster itself was so much fun and really fast.

Since it was already past noon we decided to et something for lunch. We
stopped at Officers Foodquarters to try the plant based Impossible Burger
and a salad. The food was quite good and soon we continued our tour through
the huge indoor park. Next was a dark ride called Made in Maranello, where
we got to see how the famous cars are being made at Ferrari's factory in
Italy. Then we got in line for Fiorano GT Challenge, a dueling coaster, and
afterwards we did Speed of Magic, a terrible simulator ride. After that
disappointment we got ice cream.

Now it was time for another highlight at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. Mission
Ferrari didn't open due to technical problems, but in the afternoon the
newest thrill ride was running again. To our surprise the waiting time was
short and so we got in line. The coaster was not only really good, but it
was also equpped with many special effects. After Mission Ferrari it was
time for another roller coaster. Fast Track was a launch coaster that shot
us out of the canopy. Unfortunately we also had to face a huge
disappointment, because the world's fastest roller coaster Formula Rossa was
closed. Instead we checked out the shops and of course we bought some
souvenirs as well.

Since operations were really bad and the park was more crowded than we
expected, which made the experience really bad, we decided to leave and
check out Yas Shopping Mall. Later we drove back to our hotel and spent the
rest of the afternoon at the adults only rooftop pool. There we enjoyed a
couple of drinks and relaxed by the pool. From the pool we had a great view
over Yas Island, especially over Warner Bros. World just behind the
hotel.

After a relaxing afternoon at the pool it was time for dinner, which was
included in our booking. The hotel offered a colourful buffet style
restaurant, where we had breakfast and dinner. The food selection consisted of
western, Indian and Oriental food and although the quality was not the best,
we usually found some good vegetarian dishes. Later we just strolled through
the beautiful hotel to check out what it had to offer until we returned to our
room and relaxed in front of the TV.
