Flying To London
Monday - December 29th 2025
Our day started pretty early since our flight to London Heathrow departed
07:30 am, but first we had to catch the bus to the terminal and then we had
breakfast at the airport lounge after passing security. Finally it was time
for departure, but due to the cold weather and some technical issues we were
delayed for about an hour. After arriving in London we got a quick snack and
then we ordered an uber to Wandsworth Town, where we checked in into our
hotel. Like in the last years we stayed at the
Alma Hotel. Our room was already available and after we dropped off our luggage, we
stopped at the Alma pub for a welcome beer.

Afterwards we walked from Wandsworth to
Battersea Power Station, which took about an hour. This walk has become sort of a tradition for us,
since are doing that for several years now. We really love the atmosphere
along the Thamse on cold winter daays. At Battersea Power Station we browsed
through the shops until it was time for our reservation at
Dishoom, an Indian restaurant. Although it was a chain restaurant the food was so
delicious. After we tried several different dishes, we walked back to
Wandsworth and spent the rest of the evening at the Alma pub.
