Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque

Our last day in the United Arab Emirates started with breakfast and after we
packed our belongings, we checked out from this lovely hotel. Today we had to
drive back to Dubai, but first we wanted to see the
Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu
Dahbi. The drive took about half an hour and shortly after the mosque opened
we arrived. We booked the tickets in advance and soon we were allowed inside
that amazing building. It took us about an hour to walk through the beautiful
mosque. Afterwards we got an iced coffee Starbucks before hitting the road and
driving back to Dubai.

Back in Dubai we drove directly to our hotel. Since we had to leave in the
early morning to catch our flight, we chose the
Edge Creekside Hotel
near the Dubai Creek, which was also only just a couple of minutes from the
airport. Our room was already ready and so we could unload our stuff before
heading to Dubai's
Hard Rock Cafe for
lunch, where we shared loaded nachos. In the afternoon we spent some time at
Al Seef, a recreated Soukh. There was even a Starbucks that was built to
look like it was really old. Unfortunately there wasn't a lot to do except
for browsing through the small shops and since it was really warm, we
decided to drive back to the hotel.

In the evening we headed to Dubai Mall to watch the fountain show and to get
something for dinner. First we just strolled through the mall and checked ot
the shops before stopping at Salt to eat the delicious Impossible Burgers one
last time. From the restaurant we had an amazing view at Burj Khalifa and were
even able to see parts of the fountain and light show while enjoying our
burgers. Later we took a walk along the artificial lake to see the whole
fountain show before saying our goodbyes to this amazing city. Then we drove
back to the hotel and packed our cases for our jouney back home.
