Today it was time to leave Fort William for Glasgow. After breakfast we decided to drive to Glen Nevis, a very beautiful place which was used as a location for shooting Braveheart starring Mel Gibson. Before we were on our way to Glasgow, we made some pictures and visited the tourist center.

Along the road we made some breaks to enjoy the stunning landscape. Our Opel Insignia wasn't a small car and so it was sometimes very adventurous to drive, because some of the roads were really narrow, especially when a truck was passing by.

After a three hours drive we arrived in Glasgow and drove to our hotel. We checked in and dropped our luggage off in our room. Later we walked into the city and had a coffee and a sandwich at Starbucks for a late lunch.

Afterwards we did some sightseeing. Although Glasgow was not as beautiful as Edinburgh, it was still a nice and wonderful city with a great architecture. We really liked the mixture of old and new buildings. Glasgow had a more industrial look, which I really liked, than the capital of Scotland.

Of course there were many pubs in Glasgow as well and it looked like, that after work many people liked to enjoy a cold beer in one of the many, many pubs and so we joined them and had a beer, too. Then we just walked around the city and searched for a certain restaurant for dinner.

It wasn't so easy to get to the restaurant, because it was hidden in a small alley, but finally we found it. That restaurant was called Stereo and offered only vegetarian cuisine. It was very crowded and so we had to wait a bit until we got a table, but it was worth the wait, because the food was delicious. We shared a starter and my main course was a pizza, while Claudia ordered Mexican fajitas. For desserts we had a peach cobbler and a banana split.

Afterwards we came across a fantastic pub, when we were on our way back to the hotel. The pub was called The Drum & Monkey and of course we stopped there for a drink.
