Brooklyn Bridge
Wednesday - May 7th 2025
A beautiful day was upon us. The sun was shining and it was pretty warm. After
breakfast at Cafe Aroma we headed to the subway station and took the metro to
Brooklyn, where we gott off in Dumbo, because we wanted to see the famous
Brooklyn Bridge. Dumbo is a small neighbourhood in Brooklyn from where we had
a wonderful view of Manhattan Bridge. Then we strolled around Pebbles Beach
and finally we were on our way back to Manhattan walking over the amazing
Brooklyn Bridge. It was breathtaking walking towards New York Caity's
fantastic skyline. Back in Manhattan we stopped at Starbucks for a refreshing
iced coffee.

After our coffee break we headed towards Trinity Church. Since it was already
noon we got hungry and decided to get something to eat at
Chipotle Mexican Grill, but not before taking a look at the New York Stock Exchange at the famous
Wall Street. Lunch at Chipotle was delicious. We all got Mexican bowls with
rice, beans, vegetables and cheese. In the afternoon we planned to take the
boat to
Liberty Island to
visit Lady Liberty. Once we purchased our tickets at Fort Clinton we boarded
the next ship. From the water we got a stunning view of Manhattan and of the
Statue of Liberty.
When we arrived at Liberty Island we just took a walk around the statue, since
we didn't have tickets to go inside Lady Liberty. Nonetheless the Statue of
Liberty was still impressive from the outside. The island was packed with
tourists and so we didn't want to spend too much time there and soon we took
the next available ferry back to Manhattan. Claudia's parent were a little bit
tired and so we took them back to the hotel, while we headed out again. First
we stopped at the
Nintendo Store at the Rockefeller Center and then we searched for a pub to get some drinks.
Near our hotel we found the
District Tap House and of
course we ordered a couple of Bud Light beers. For dinner we got pizzas a 2
Bros Pizza again and after more drinks at the hotel bar we called it a day.
