Driving To Toronto
Another long weekend was coming up and so we decided to
do
another trip, but we didn't know where to go. Together with two friends
we chose Toronto and the Niagara Falls as our next destinations. On Wednesday afternoon we picked up our rental car from
Enterprise and we were very pleased by the car we got. It was a big black and very comfortable Pontiac.

Thursday
very early in the morning we were on our way to Toronto. In Detroit we
had to wait a little due to boarder control, but after half an hour we
were allowed to drive to Canada. After we left Windsor behind, we
stopped at a
Tim Hortons for breakfast. Canada
felt a little bit more like Europe, because there they also use the
metric system instead of miles and because of Queen Elizabeth II on the
money.
Around noon we stopped at a nice chain restaurant called
Montana's Cookhouse
for lunch. The waiter was surprised to see some guys from Europe and so
he made a picture of us, which he put on a wall inside the restaurant. Claudia and I both ordered a very good veggie burger and
afterwards we were on the road again.

We arrived in Toronto in the early afternoon. At first we searched for our hotel and after we found our
Days Inn
(now a Howard Johnson), we weren't sure if we should stay there. It
didn't look nice from the outside. So the girls checked the rooms
and since they were fine, we decided to stay. In fact it was a
wonderful hotel and we enjoyed our time there a lot. After
checking in, we used the tram to go into the city. Since the weather
was so nice and sunny, we chose to do the observatory deck of the
CN Tower first. From there we had a stunning view over Toronto.
