The Rollercoaster Capital Of The World

You know that we are huge Disneyland fans and despite Disneyland is not about
huge roller coasters, there are still some great ones at Disney Parks. However
there is an amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, that is dedicated to roller
coasters. Since the park was just one hour away, it was clear to us to go to
Cedar Point.

Together with some friends we drove there at the end of September, which was
great, because the lines weren't too long and the weather was still warm and
sunny. The park was already decorated for the Halloween Season and pumpkins,
skeletons and other Halloween stuff like haunted houses were all over the
park. We arrived there in the morning to make full use of the opening hours.
The park isn't themed like Disneyland, it's just a huge park with many
coasters. At Cedar Point you will find steel coasters, wooden coasters and
many other rides suitable for all ages.

We tried to ride all
the big ones, but unfortunately we couldn't do all. Here's a list of the attractions we
have done: Raptor, Millenium Force, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Top Thrill
Dragster, Maverick, Mean Streak, Magnum XL-200, Gemini, Iron Dragon and
Disaster Transport. Our first one was Raptor, followed by Millenium Force and
some smaller rides.

Millenium Force was great and it became one of our favorite coasters ever. Of
course we rode it more than once. Another great coaster was Mean Streak,
because it is a huge wooden coaster and we have never tried a ride like that.

The highlight of the morning was Top Thrill Dragster, which accelerates from 0
to 190 km/h in 4 seconds, but the ride doesn't last that long. After you
reached the top, you are going down and back to the station. The whole ride
lasts approximately 30 seconds.

After lunch, we had some Chinese food at Panda Express, but it wasn't good, it
was time for the rest of the park. Maverick, the newest coaster back then,
just opened a few weeks earlier, was another must do and waiting an hour was
definately worth it.

Before we left the park we all together rode Millenium Force again. After a
fantastic day at Cedar Point, we were on our way back home.
