Going To Osaka
Monday - October 6th 2025
After one night we left Tokyo already behind to travel to Osaka. First we
checked out and then we headed to the nearest Starbucks across the street.
There we had a quick breakfast before taking the Shinkansen from Tokyo Station
to Shin-Osaka Station. Of course we got some snacks for the train ride, since
it would take about three hours to arrive in Osaka. From Osaka Station we took
the Expo Liner to our hotel at Universal City. We were a bit early and so our
room wasn't ready yet. We left the luggage at the hotel and took the metro to
Dontonbori District. There we stopped at
Pivot Base, a vegetarian restaurant, for lunch. The food was okay, but nothing special.
Afterwards we just strolled around Dontonbori and checked out the shops and
tried some mochis. Next stop was Don Quijote, a huge store we knew already
from Malysia, where you can buy basically everything.
Since it was already afternoon and there wasn't much else to do, we decided to
head back to Universal City to check in to our hotel. In Osaka we stayed at
The Singulari Hotel & Sky Spa at Universal Studios Japan
right next to Universal CityWalk. Our room was really lovely, quite spacious
and offered a nice view over Osaka harbour, what I really liked. After we
refreshed a little bit, we headed out to Universal CityWalk, where we got a
beer at a bar before taking the train back into the city to get dinner. We
found a ramen restaurant called
Moon And Back in a
shopping mall that was quite popular for its plant based ramen soups. Although
we had to wait quite some time to get our food, the ramen soups were really
delicious. Afterwards we checked out the rest of the shopping mall and before
returning to our hotel we got two cookies at Ben's Cookies for later. From the
hotel shop we picked up a can of beer and enjoyed a relaxing evening in our
room.
