Japan 2025 - Part 12

Tokyo Disneyland

Claudia and I are big Disney thempark fans and in 2018 we had already been to Tokyo Disney Resort. Of course we had to visit Disney again and this time we even got a vacation package to stay on site in a Disney hotel. Early morning we ordered a taxi to take us from Shinjuku to our Disney hotel. We stayed at the Toy Story Hotel and once we arrived, we dropped off our luggage and headed to the parks. For today we had tickets for Tokyo Disneyland and at the entrance gates lines were already quite long although we still had an hour until park opening. Finally the gates opened and we walked straight to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The weather wasn't the best today and so wanted to make sure we get to ride the wildest ride in the wilderness without rain. Afterwards we did Pirates of the Caribbean, another classic Disney attraction, before just strolling through World Bazaar, Tokyo's version of Main Street USA.

Today we had a reservation at Center Street Coffeehouse for an early lunch. We both got the Baymax vegetable curry with falafel and a delicious cheesecake for dessert. The food was really nice and soon we were on our way again. Next was Pooh's Hunny Hunt in Fantasyland, one of our favourite rides at Tokyo Disneyland. Although the park was really crowded we managed to ride It's A Small World and Pinocchio's Daring Journey with almost no waiting time. Then we walked back to Tomorrowland, where we did Star Tours and Monster's Inc. Ride and Go Seek until it was time for a coffee break.

After our coffee break it was time for another highlight. We had a fastpass reservation for the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, the newest attraction at Tokyo Disneyland. The ride was fantastic and very impressive, but I think I still like Pooh's Hunny Hunt better. Then we just strolled through Toontown and the rest of the park to check out the shops. Unfortunately it started to rain and so we did the Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventureland and Country Bear Vacation Jamboree in Westernland to be inside. Finally it was time for our dinner reservation at Eastside Cafe. Claudia and I both ordered the vegetable pasta and the tiramisu for dessert. We enjoyed our dinner and then we decided to leave the park because the weather didn't get better. Back at the Toy Story Hotel our luggage was already in our lovely themed room. At the hotel shop we got a couple of beers and had a relaxing evening in our room.
