Florida 2022 - Part 8

Epcot

Our day started with coffee at the food court and then we took the Disney Skyliner to Epcot. We had a Lightning Lane ticket for Frozen Ever After, but once we entered the park, cast members greeted us with the anouncement of the closed Frozen ride. What a great start. Instead we got a coffee st Starbucks and headed to the Land Pavilion to do Soarin'. Although it was the Over The World version, we still enjoyed it a lot. Next was Awesome Planet, a nice movie attraction with an important message.

Back at Epcot's World Showcase we got in line for Reflections of China, a 360° movie I liked a lot. Afterwards it was time for breakfast and we ordered the School Bread at the Norwegian Pavilion. That traditional Norwegian dish was really delicious and once we finished our breakfast Frozen Ever After was back up running and we could redeem our Lightning Lane tickets. The ride was very cute and a lot better than expected.

During our visit the Flower and Garden Festival was going on and many food stands offered vegan options. Of course we had to try as many as possible and so we started with the avocado toast, which was okay, and Gin Hibiscus lemonade. That cocktail was very good, although a little bit on the strong side. Now we were set to ride Mission Space. Since we didn't like the extreme version that much last time, we decided to give the simulator version a try. After an intense ride through space we got hungry and stopped at Trowel & Trellis Outdoor Kitchen where we got the Boneless Impossible Korean Short Ribs and the potatoe soup. On our way around World Showcase we visited the Mexican Pavilion and joined Donald Duck in the Grand Fiesta Tour on a journey through Mexico. Later we got a spiced ananas, which we didn't like at all, so we had to stop at the Germany Pavilion for Stiegl Radler and potatoe cakes with apple sauce. For a late lunch we headed to Regal Eagle at the America Pavilion to try the vegan jackfruit sandwich with fries. The sandwich was so delicious, but we still wanted dessert. At Boulangerie Les Halles at the France Pavilion Claudia and I found some sweet treats, but unfortunately they looked better than how they tasted.

In the early afternoon we left Epcot, because the park got very crowded. First we strolled around the Boardwalk Resort and then we wanted to play minigolf, but unfortunately the line was so long that we decided to get some refreshing drinks at the nearby Reserve Hotel. Afterwards we walked over to Disney's Hollywood Studios. To our surprise the queue for Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway was rather short and so we got in line. We really loved the attraction, hopefully it will come to Disneyland Paris one day. The rest of the afternoon we spent at Baseline Taphouse and enjoyed a couple of beers before taking Disney's Skyliner back to the hotel, where we had a veggie burger for dinner. After strolling through the shop we went to our room and called it a day.
