Magic Kingdom
Friday - April 8th 2022
Today we had our first full day in a Disney themepark and after coffee at the
food court we took the bus to the
Magic Kingdom. When we arrived the gates were about to open and soon we were inside the
park. Although we are not the biggest fans of the Magic Kingdom, in our
opinion it's the worst of all the Disney castle parks, we still were so happy
so stroll down Main Street and to see Cinderella's Castle. Disney hotel guests
were allowed to enter before the other guests. Of course we had to take
advantage of being a Disney hotel guest and headed straight to Space Mountain.
While it's no comparisson to its far superior cousin at Disneyland Paris, it
was still a fun ride. Afterwards we got in line of the Peoplemavoer, one of
our favourite attractions at the Magic Kingdom, which took us on a tour
through Tomorrowland.
In the early afternoon we left Magic Kingdom, because we had a dining
reservation at Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary resort, which was just a
couple of minutes by foot away from the park. Since we were a little bit
early and our table wasn't ready yet, we stopped at the bar and got a
cocktail and a beer. Finally we were brought to our table and soon we
ordered our meals. While I got the Impossible Stack Burger, Claudia got the
vegan Wellington. As a starter we shared the oninon rings. The food was
really delicious and I'm pretty sure we would return. On the way back to the
Magic Kingdom, we decided to take the bus back to the hotel, because it was
so hot and we wanted to spend the afternoon at the hotel pool rather than at
an overcrowded mediocre themepark.

After we relaxed at the pool in the afternoon, we took the Disney Skyliner
to Epcot in the evening. We hadn't had any plans except for getting drinks
and try some dishes from the Flower and Garden Festival booths. First we
stopped at the United Kingdom Pavilion for a beer. With the beer in our
hands we took a walk along Hour Glass Lake to find something to eat. At the
Flavour Full Kitchen we tried the corn on the cobb, but that was not to our
taste. Next stop was Trowel & Trellis Outdoor Kitchen where we got the
Boneless Impossible Korean Short Ribs and they were really good. It wasn't
the last time we got them. During our walk along the lake, we also got a
Cocktail in Mexico, a glass of wine in Italy and one last beer at the United
Kingdom before taking the Skyliner back to the Pop Century Resort.
