Cedar Point - America's Roller Coast
Saturday - September 16th 2017
Claudia and I like to visit amusement parks, especially Disney, and this was
already our third visit after 2007 and 2013. Since our package included an
early entry into the park, we got up early and soon we were at the front
gates. The crowds were still low and so it didn't take us very long to get
inside. Our first stop was Millenium Force, one of the most popular coasters
in the park. The coaster itself is a little bit scary due to its height and
speed, but a lot of fun. Afterwards we headed to Valravn, Cedar Point's newest
mega coaster. We rode it already yesterday, but it was so great that we had to
do it again. Unfortunately many people had the same idea and so the queue was
already 45 minutes long. We still got in line, because during the day the line
would get longer than shorter. Afterwards it was time for an iced coffee at
Starbucks, since it was getting really hot.

The crowds got bigger and bigger and so we decided to just walk around the
park to take some pictures until noon. However the line at Twister was really
short and so we got in line. Surprisingly that coaster was also a lot of fun.
Around noon it was time for lunch and we wanted to try Melt Bar & Grill,
because they had some vegan items on the menu. We just had to wait a couple of
minutes and then we were seated. The food was totally fine for a themepark
location. Later we left the park and returned to the hotel to get a break from
the heat and the crowds. Since we did all the big and popular coasters already
yesterday, we didn't mind leaving the park.

In the late afternoon we headed back to the park. The crowds we still
big, but at least it wasn't as hot anymore and we even got to ride a few more
attractions. First we did a small woodden coaster and then we got in line for
Rougarou. The rest of the evening we spent at just strolling around enjoying
the Halloween decorations. Before we left for good we had some drinks at an
outdoor bar and we did maXair, another thrill ride that was a lot of fun.
