Cardiff - London 2015 - Part 5

Natural History Museum

Tuesday - May 5th 2015

After breakfast with baked beans and rolls we were on our way to the Natural History Museum. We wanted to visit that museum already in 2011, but back then we didn't have enough time. Right before the museum opened we arrived and there was already a queue forming. A few minutes later we were in and spent several hours there. Not only were the exhibitions interesting, but also the building itself that houses the museum looked fantastic.

Afterwards we took the subway to Kensington and had lunch at the 222 Veggie Restaurant. Today they offered a buffet with Indian food, which was very good. Later we visited the Harrods department store and then we headed to King's Cross Station to see Platform 9 3/4 from the Harry Potter movies. There we got a picture and after visiting the Harry Potter Store, we went to take a look at the St. Pancras train station, from where the Eurostar departs. Then Claudia bought some vegan goodies at a nearby vegan shop and later we were on our way to one of the most beautiful pubs in London - The Blackfriar. We loved the pub culture in the UK, everyone was enjoying a beer and had a good time after work. Before we returned to the hotel, we got some sandwiches for dinner, because we were still full from lunch.
