Today we had to leave Cardiff for London. After breakfast we checked out and
headed to the bus station. Our bus departed around 10:00am and we arrived at
the Victoria coach station in London in the early afternoon. At the Victoria
train station we purchased our London Travelcard and then we took the subway
to Vauxhall and from there the train to Wandsworth Town. In 2011 we stayed in
Wandsworth as well, but in a different hotel. This time we chose the
Holiday Inn Express
and although it was already a bit older, we felt very comfortable there. Our
room was nothing special, just an ordinary hotel room, but it was clean and
that was all that mattered. Breakfast and wi-fi were included and unlike in
many hotels, the w-lan was working very well. When we arrived, our room wasn't
ready yet and so we got a Boddingtons beer at the hotel bar. Soon the room was
available and after we unpacked our luggage, we took the train back into the
city.

For today we didn't have any plans and so we just did a walking tour from the
Waterloo train station to the London Eye and from there to Trafalgar Square
and Soho. There we had an early dinner at
Maoz Falafel and then we
continued our walking tour to China Town, Leicester Square and Picadilly
Circus. Before we returned to the Spanish Festival at the London Eye, we
stopped at the
Sherlock Holmes Pub and
enjoyed a beer. Back at the hotel we shared a drink at the bar and then we
went to bed.
