Indianapolis
Thursday - September 12th 2013
Today we left Chicago and on our way back to Columbus we stopped in
Indianapolis for one night. Breakfast was again at Whole Foods Market and soon
we hit the road towards Indiana. Driving to Indianapolis was really boring,
but finally around noon we arrived at our hotel. Like in Bowling Green we
chose the
Hampton Inn, which was located downtown right accross the Hard Rock Cafe.

Before we arrived at the hotel, we stopped at a shopping mall outside of
Indianapolis. After a cup of coffee at Starbucks and some shopping, it was
time to check in. We dropped our luggage off in our room, which was nice and
clean like expected. Then we decided to visit the
Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We didn't tour the museum, because I'm more interested in Formula 1 than US
racing series, but we joined a bus ride around the circuit.

Later we had a late lunch at Chipotle and then we returned to the hotel. We
parked our car and just walked around the inner city. Since there wasn't that
much to see, except for the Indiana Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, we had
some drinks at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Afterwards we had dinner at the
California Pizza Kitchen. We both ordered a pizza. While I had one with mushrooms, Claudia chose the
vegetable pizza. Back in the hotel we watched TV and got our bags ready for
the flight home in two days.
