Chicago

One of the most famous buildings in Chicago is the Willis Tower, formerly known as the Sears Tower, and of course we had to see that building. After we got up, we grabbed a coffee at the hotel bar and then stopped at Whole Foods Market for breakfast. Since I've never had a breakfast pizza, I had to try that, while Claudia chose a breakfast taco with potatoes.

We arrived early at the
Willis Tower and bought our tickets for the
Skydeck. There was no queue and soon we were 400 meters above Chicago. The weather was nice and so we had a wonderful view over the city. Besides the view, the main attraction were the balconies with the glass floor.

After we spent an hour on top of the Willis Tower, we were on our way down again. First we had another cup of coffee at Starbucks and later we walked to the Buckingham Fountain. On our way to the Native Foods Cafe, we stopped at the Millenium Park, where we had a cold beer at a nice outdoor bar. Then it was time for a late lunch at the Native Foods Cafe again.

In the afternoon we just walked around the city and did some shopping on Michigan Avenue. On our way back to the hotel we stopped once again at the Whole Foods Market for dinner and bought some sandwiches and shushi. Back at the hotel we got ready for the evening, which we spent at the Hard Rock Cafe and strolling around Chicago River.
