Mur Bike Trail
Wednesday - June 18th 2025
Our last biking day was upon us. First we stopped at a local bakery for
breakfast and then we started our last leg from Graz to Bad Radkersburg in the
south of Styria. Outside of Graz we stopped at a supermarket and bought some
snacks for our lunch. Along the way we came across a lovel rest stop near
Spielfeld, where we enjoyed ice cold beers before continuing our bike tour to
Bad Radkersburg. Around noon we found a spot with a bench and a table in a
little village to take a break and eat our lunch snacks. Since we made such a
good progress, we decided to try to catch an earlier train back to Graz and so
we hit the road again. We drove pretty fast and indeed we arrived in Bad
Radkersburg in time for the earlier train.

Back in Graz we cycled to our hotel and there we refreshed before heading
into the city. Like yesterday we stopped at Swing Kitchen for dinner. After
two delicious plant based burgers Claudia and I went to the Pink Elephant
bar again to get a couple of drinks while enjoying the lovely summer
evening. Later it was time for ice cream at
Charly Temmel, Graz' most famous ice cream parlor. With our ice creams in our hands we
took a walk through the city before returning to the hotel. There we watched
TV and soon we called it a day and went to bed.

Returning Home
Thursday - June 19th 2025
Today we had to take the train from Graz back to Salzburg. The train
departed around 11:00am and so we had plenty of time for breakfast and check
out. Breakfast wasn't inlcuded in our room rate and so we booked it
seperately for today. After we checked out we cycled to the train station,
where we bought some snacks for the train ride. Soon we left Graz and in the
afternoon we arrived in Salzburg.
