Mur Bike Trail
Tuesday - June 17th 2025
Before we hit the road again, we had breakfast and then we checked out. First
we stopped at a nearby supermarket to get some snacks for later. Today's leg
took us from Leoben to Graz and since it wasn't as long as yesterday, we
didn't have to hurry. Along the way we passed Bruck and der Mur and around
noon we arrived in Frohnleiten, a beautiful little town, where we stopped for
a drink at
Cafe Aufschlager. After a refreshing beer we bought some rolls and snacks for our lunch. We
found a lovely park by the river to take a break and eat our food.

In the afternoon we continued our journey towards Graz. Unfortunately the
weather was really warm and we had headwind all the time and so we decided to
take the shorter instead of the more beautiful route. Soon we arrived in Graz
and drove directly to our hotel. In Styria's capital city we stayed at
Hotel Weitzer
and to our surprise we got an upgrade to a better room when we checked in.
After we took a shower and refreshed we walked into the city and had dinner at
Swing Kitchen, a plant based fast food restaurant that serves burgers. To celebrate our
arrival in Graz we got a couple of white wine spritzers at the
Pink Elephant bar. Later we
just strolled around the city and enjoyed some ice cream before returning to
the hotel.
