Palma De Mallorca

After breakfast we hit the road and drove to Palma de Mallorca, the capital
city of Mallorca. Right next to the cathedral we parked our car in an
underground garage and started our sightseeing tour with exploring the
beautiful Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma. The church was really stunning,
especially its interior with the huge rose window. Then we just strolled
around the narrow streets until we found a Starbucks, where we enjoyed an iced
coffee while watching all the people passing by. Once we finished our coffees
we continued our walking tour through Palma and checked out some stores as
well. The inner city of Palma was very picturesque with all its beautiful old
buildings and narrow streets.

Later we found a lovely shop that was selling local products, like garlic,
chilis, olive oil or cheese. Additionally that store was also a small bar that
offered drinks and snacks. Luckily we got a table right away and ordered some
drinks and a snack, which was very traditional for the island. Afterwards we
went to El Corte Ingles, a huge department store that can be found all over
Spain. Along the way we passed many more beautiful buildings and town squares
with lovely outdoor cafes.

Since it was already early afternoon, we got hungry and decided it was time
for lunch at the
Hard Rock Cafe. We got a table on the terrace and ordered nachos to share. Once we finished
our lunch we walked back to our car, because we planned to check out a nearby
shopping mal. Claudia and I were on a quest to find a certain Starbucks mug we
didn't get in the morning at the first Starbucks coffee house. Unfortunately
they were out of stock at the second Starbucks as well and so we drove to the
next mall. There we were also unlucky, that's why we decided to check out the
last Starbucks location we were still missing and drove to the Palma Outlet
Shopping Mall. Of course there the mug wasn't available either, but at least
Claudia could shop some clothes. Back at the hotel we had dinner and then we
headed into Cala D'Or and enjoyed a couple of sangrias at our favourite
bar.
