Today we left PortAventura World for Barcelona, but not before digging in at
the breakfast buffet. Our train was departing around 10:00am and at noon we arrived
at our hotel in Barcelona. Unfortunately the room wasn't ready yet and so we
left our luggage at the hotel and headed out into the city. Our first stop was
at the
Hard Rock Cafe, where we got a couple of drinks and a vegan burger for lunch. Afterwards we
just strolled around the area and checked out some stores until our room was
finally ready.

In Barcelona we stayed at the
H10 Urquinaona Plaza Hotel. We booked the standard room, which had a surprising feature, the window
looked into the indoor area of the hotel. Our room was pretty small, but
very cosy and big enough for two persons. After we checked in, unpacked and
refreshed, we walked to the old part of Barcelona. There we just strolled
around the small and narrow alleys until we found the Vegan Junk Food Bar
where we planned to have dinner.

We got a table right away and soon we placed our orders. For starter we
shared loaded fries, which unfortunately were not very good. For the main
course we got a shawarma burger and a caesar salad. Both dishes were okay,
but nothing to write home about. To be honest we expected more from this
hyped up restaurant, but instead we left the
Vegan Junk Food Bar
rather disappointed. Afterwards we decided to find a nice bar for drinks.
Along the way we came across a Roman excavation site and visited Barcelona
Cathedral. Finally we found a lovely bar called Barnet, where we spent the
rest of the evening with a couple of drinks until we returned to the
hotel.
