Ferrari Land

On our second day at PortAventura World we visited
Ferrari Land, the second park of the resort. Once we got up, we headed downstairs to the
breakfast buffet. After we stuffed ourselves with mini donuts, we got ready
for another day in the parks. Ferrari Land didn't open before 10:00am and so
we still had some time to kill. Since we were allowed to enter the main park
early, we just strolled around PortAventura Park and rode Furius Baco again
until Ferrai Land opened. Of course our first stop at Ferrari Land was its
main attraction called Red Force. This huge rollercoaster is one of the
fastest in the world and so it was quite popular among guests. Red Force was
very intense but also a lot of fun. Next were the two Thrill Towers. One was a
free fall tower, while the other one shoots you up the tower. Both were fun,
but since it took the staff forever to load the rides, we didn't bother
queueing again.

It was alreay early noon and so we decided to get something to eat. Only
the Pit-Lane Restaurant was open and so the choice was made for us.
Claudia ordered a soup and I got the veggie burger with fries. The food
was really good and and as a dessert we shared a glass of cold beer. After
lunch we checked out the Ferrari Store and bought some merchandise. Then
we got in line for Racing Legends, a racing simulator that was quite
underwhelming. Unfortunately the other main indoor attraction had a very
long line and so we decided to give the kids area a try. There we rode
Crazy Pistons and Junior Red Force, a very small but still fun coaster.

Now there was only one main attraction left and luckily the line was much
shorter than before. Flight of Dreams was a flying theatre attraction, like
Soarin' at Disney, that took us along a journey around the globe. I really
liked it, although it was not as good as Disney's Soarin or Voletarium at
Europa Park. Since Ferrari Land was a very small park, there wasn't anything
else to do and so we left and walked over to PortAventura again. Despite
being a rather small themepark, we had a lot of fun and enjoyed our time
there. Hopefully they will add a couple of attractions in the next years to
make it a full day park.

Before returning to PortAventura Park we checked out the entrance area of
the parks and took some pictures. Today the crowds were bigger than
yesterday and so we decided to return to the hotel, relax a bit and get a
drink at the bar. Later it was time for dinner. Today we didn't want to eat
at The Opera again and that's why we got a reservation at the buffet
restaurant. There we had plenty of vegetarian and vegan options and so we enjoyed
our dinner a lot. Afterwards we had another drink at the bar and then we
headed back to our room to pack our luggage, because tomorrow we left
PortAventura World for Barcelona.
