Cesky Krumlov 2024 - Part 3

Our last day started with breakfast, which was better than yesterday, but still nothing to write home about and then we checked out, but left our luggage in the storage room, because we wanted to visit the State Castle of Cesky Krumlov. Since it wasn't crowded yet, we started with the museum and the castle tower from where we had an amazing view over the old town. Then we just strolled around the castle courtyards and headed back into the city.

Back in the old town we paid a visit to the Egon Schiele Art Centrum. The museum was about the art and life of the famous Austrian painter during his time in Cesky Krumlov. Afterwards we stopped at the same bakery like yesterday to get a second breakfast. We both had coffee and cake, but we should have sticked to the croissants we had yesterday, because the cakes we just okay. Before leaving Cesky Krumlov we checked out the church. On the way back to Salzburg we stopped at my sister's house for a short family visit.

Stiegl Gut Bike Tour 2024

Our second bike tour this summer started with a stop at the main train station to buy some snacks at the bakery. Today was a public holiday and so all shops were closed except for the ones at the train station. After we got our snacks we were on our way to Stiegl Gut Wildshut, where we arrived around noon. Stiegl Gut Wildshut is a combination of a restaurant, brewery, distillery and farm and is part of the Stiegl Brewery in Salzburg. Once we arrived there, we got a glass of beer while enjoying the lovely weather. Afterwards we hit the road again and cycled back to Salzburg. In Laufen we stopped for delicious ice cream and soon we were back at home.

Königssee Bike Tour 2024

Königssee Bike Tour

Saturday - July 27th 2024

This weekend the weather was really nice and so we decided to do a bike tour to the famous Könnigssee in Bavaria just a couple of kilometres away from Salzburg. We started in the morning and around noon we arrived at the totally over crowded village of Schönau am Königssee. Along the way we stopped at a lovely restaurant for a refreshing glass of beer. Since Schönau was unbearable with all the tourists, we cycled back to Salzburg. Of course we had to get a beer on they way home too. Back in Salzburg we eneded our bike tour with frozen yogurt.
