Erlauftal Bike Trail

We got up early again and after breakfast and checking out we were on our way
again. Today we had to cycle back to Ybbs an der Donau and so we took the
Erlauftal Bike Trail
to Pöchlarn and from there the Donau Bike Trail back to our car. For the first
part of our route we had to climb to the highest point of our tour, but
afterwards we had a long run downhill to Gaming, where we visited the
monastery before continuing our journey to Scheibbs and Wieselburg.

Around noon we arrived in the small city of Wieselburg, famous for its
brewery. There we took a break at the brewery restaurant and got a couple of
drinks. Afterwards we continued our tour and just outside of Wieselburg we
found a lovely spot for our lunch break. Then it was time for the remaining
kilometres to the Danube river and thanks to the heat that was not as pleasant
as we wanted it to be. We finally made it to Pöchlarn and from there we
started our last part to Ybbs. Along the Danube Bike Trail we got hit by a
thunderstorm, but soon we arrived in Ybbs and stopped at a lovely coffee house
for a drink before driving home to Salzburg.
