Returning Home
Sunday - August 23rd 2026
Today was already our last day in Stockholm. So after breakfast we checked
out, left the luggage behind at the hotel and then we were on our way to the
Vasa Museum. The museum houses the over 300 years old ship Vasa that sank during its
maiden voyage. Today it's probably the best preserved ship from the 17th
century and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. After
visiting the museum we just strolled around the harbour and got coffee and
cinnamon buns for lunch.

Since we still had some time to kill until we had to get to the airport, we
decided to check out the beautiful metro stations of Stockholm before we
enjoyed one last drink at The Bishops Arms pub. Then it was finally time to
say goodbye to Stockholm. We picked up our luggage and took the Alander
Express to the airport, where we had an early dinner while waiting for
departure. Unfortunately our flight was delayed a little bit, but we still
caught our connecting flight in Frankfurt. In Salzburg we arrived on time and
so my parents were on their way back home after they dropped us off at our
appartment.
