Stockholm 2026 - Part 3

Stockholm

Saturday - August 22nd 2026

After breakfast we headed to the harbour, because for today we had booked a boat trip to the surrounding islands of Stockholm. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best today, but at least it didn't rain most of the time while being on board. During the tour our guide provided a lot of information regarding Stockholm and its history. On the way back to Stockholm it started to rain heavily and so we got some drinks inside at the bar.

Back in Stockholm we walked to Saluhall, a market hall that opened in 1888. There we just strolled around to check out the different market places and then we took a break at a lovely bar to enjoy a drink. Afterwards we took the metro to Gamla Stan, where my parents wanted to see the Royal Palace, while Claudia and I headed to Stockholm's shopping streets. There we stopped at Starbucks for a coffee and once we fnished our shopping tour, we had to get a couple of drinks at a pub called The Bishops Arms, where my parents joined us later for drinks as well.

In the evening we had a reservation at Hermans, a vegetarian restaurant, where Claudia and I had already been during our last visit a couple of years ago. While the food was still good, the overall experience wasn't as great as we remembered, but we still had a nice dinner with my parents. Afterwards we walked to Gamla Stan and from there back to the hotel. Of course we had to get some drinks at the rooftop bar before calling it a day.
