Disney's Typhoon Lagoon
Tuesday - April 12th 2022
Today we visited our first Disney water waterpark. After breakfast at the food
court, Claudia had oatmeal while I had the vegan Mickey waffels with potatoes,
we took the bus to Disney Springs, where we had to change the bus to Typhoon
Lagoon. The day didn't start that great, because the waffels with the
breakfast potatoes were a huge disappointment and at Disney Springs we
encountered a very unfriendly security guy, but once we were inside Typhoon
Lagoon everything was forgotten. First we got a locker and after we found us
some sunbeds, we headed straight to Crush'n'Gusher, the parks water coaster
which was a lot of fun. Next was Miss Adventure Falls, a huge water slide for
rafts, before we walked over to the big wave pool. Afterwards we needed a
break and so we stopped for a beer at a nearby bar. Then it was time for more
slides and the lazy river.

For lunch we got a vegan Impossible Burger with fries and the plant-based
Picadillo Rice-Bowl with plantains at the Leaning Palms Cafe. Both dishes
were delicious. After our lunch we strolled through the gift shops before we
spent more time in the wave pool. Since the water park got really crowded in
the afternoon, we got another beer at the bar, bought some souvenirs and
then we left the park and returned to the hotel to relax a bit.

After relaxing in the hotel, we decided to spend the evening at Disney
Springs. First we had dinner at Blaze Pizza and then we got a couple of
drinks while strolling through the shops, doing some shopping or listening
to the many artists playing on the different stages throughout Disney
Springs.
