Our Last Full Day
Friday - May 12th 2023
Today was already our last full day and we decided to visit Funchal again. So
after breakfast we walked into the city to check out the Old Town of Funchal,
but first we stopped at Mercado dos Lavradores, which is famous for its
reginal products and vegetables. Then we just strolled though the narrow
streets of Funchal's old town until we reached Fuerte De Madeira, but
unfortunately the fortress was closed due the renovation.

Since the fortress was closed, we got a drink at a lovely bar next to the
beach instead. First we ordered a beer and then we had to try poncha again.
Afterwards we walked back towards the hotel. On the way we came across a
rooftop bar from where we had a great view over Funchal. Of course we had to
get another drink until it was time for lunch. Like on Wednesday we chose to
eat at Fala Fala. For starter we shared a soup and then each of us had a
falafel wrap. After lunch we strolled back to the hotel and spent the rest of
the day at the pool until it was time for dinner.
