Disneyland Paris 2008 - Part 3

Our Second Day In The Parks

Tuesday - September 9th 2008

We had breakfast again at 7am and then headed over to the park just in time for the Extra Magic Hours. We enjoyed our favorite rides in Fantasyland, like Mad Hatter's Tea Cups, it’s a small world, Pinocchio and Peter Pan's Flight.

During the Extra Magic Hours Fantasyland and Discoveryland are open for the Disney Hotel guests. After we did most of the Fantasyland rides, we joined Buzz Lightyear to fight the evil emperor Zurg and then we travelled with Space Mountain to the outer space.

Then we headed over to the Walt Disney Studios Park, because we really wanted to ride Crush’s Coaster. So we were in line for about 45 minutes and then they told us that they had technical difficulties and that they wouldn’t open the ride.

After that disappointing experience at Crush’s Coaster, we went back to Disneyland Park and had a little snack at Salon Mickey, which is only accessible for shareholders of Euro Disney SCA, the operating company of Disneyland Paris. Since I'm a shareholder, we were allowed in. Later we just strolled around the park.

We wanted to give Crush's Coaster another try and so we returned to the Walt Disney Studios Park again. Luckily there was only a short queue in front of Crush's Coaster. So we got in line and finally were able to enjoy this fun ride. And then we rode it again. What a wonderful addition to the park.

We took a little break at Hollywood & Lime on Hollywood Boulevard. With all the new additions, this part of the park is now such a nice spot to sit down and relax a little. We tried the Perrier “Cocktails” which came in yummy flavors and very bright colors.

Later we returned to the Disneyland Park just in time for a late lunch at the Blue Lagoon Restaurant. I was a little sceptical about this restaurant, because I'm not a big sea food fan, but we had an amazing time there. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and you really can’t beat the setting! I had the Mahi-Mahi Fish and Claudia ordered the Pasta. We shared the Goat Cheese as an appetizer and the Creme Brulée for dessert.

After dinner we queued for Phantom Manor and did the wildest ride in the wilderness.

We were a little tired and so we just walked through the park and enjoyed the atmosphere. Then we walked over to Disney Village, because we have found out that they have a Happy Hour at King Ludwig’s Castle – two beers for the price of one. So we had to try that. After a nice evening in the Disney Village we went back to the hotel.
