Disneyland Paris 2016 - Part 3

The City Of Lights

Tuesday - September 13th 2016

Our annual pass was not valid every day, because we didn't get the most expensive one, and today was such a block out day. Since Disneyland ist just 30km outside of Paris, we decided to spend the day in the city of lights. Which meant that the block out day didn't really bother us. Although we hadn't planned anything special in Paris, we were really excited to see the beautiful city again. So in the morning we took the RER train from Val D'Europe and 35 minutes later we arrived at Place D'Etoile in the middle of Paris. After taking some pictures of the Arc De Triomphe, we walked down Champs Elysee until we stopped at a McCafe for a late breakfast coffee. Once we visited the Disney Store, we took the metro to Trocadero to see the Eiffel Tower. Since it was really warm, it was time for another break and we both got a can of beer and relaxed in the nearby park. Then we headed over to the tower, but instead of going up, we got some wine while waiting for our river boat tour on the Seine to depart.

An hour later we were on our way to Notre Dame, where we got off the boat. Now it was already afternoon and we were getting hungry. So we took the metro to Centre Pompidou, because nearby a new vegetarian burger restaurant named Hank Burger opened. It took us some time to find the restaurant, but eventually we had a very late lunch. We both orderd a veggie burger with potatoe wedges and while we had already better vegan burgers, they weren't bad.

Before we returned to Val D'Europe, we did some shopping and then we headed to the train station. Back in Val D'Europe we bought some stuff at the Auchan supermarket, which is located in the huge shopping center near our hotel. The rest of the evening we spent in our room watching TV and enjoying some drinks.

Disneyland Paris 2016 - Part 4

Back In The Disney Bubble

Wednesday - September 14th 2016

Another beautiful and sunny day was ahead and so we made use of the extra magic hours again. That meant we had to walk to the parks, but as I mentioned before, we didn't mind that. When we arrived, the gates to the park weren't even open yet, but once inside we headed directly to Space Mountain. After Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast it was time for Fantasyland. Luckily the crowds were still small, we did all of the opened Fantasyland attractions. We started we Peter Pan's Flight, followed by Dumbo, the Tea Cups and Le Carrousel De Lancelot.

After a cup of coffee at Starbucks in Disney Village, we entered the Walt Disney Studios Park and queued for Crush's Coaster. It always had long lines, but we wanted to ride it at least once. The lines for Ratatouille were too long and so we joined Aerosmith in Rock'n'Rollercoaster. Then we had to leave the park already, because we had a table reservation at the Agrabah Cafe, our favourite restaurant in Disneyland Paris. Back in Disneyland we still had some time left and so we went on to explore the newly refurbished Tree House.

Finally it was time for our lunch reservation. After we got seated the feast could begin and the food was as delicious as during our last trips. Once we were full, we checked out the Frozen Summer Fun area, where we got a refreshing slushy. Phantom Manor was next and later we went to Disney Village to get some ice cold drinks at the Sports Bar, because it got really warm outside. Then we spent some time in the studios, where we did Rock'n'Rollercoaster and RC Racer, before having dinner at Earl of Sandwich.
