Disneyland Paris 2014 - Part 3

Our Second Day In The Parks

Friday - January 3rd 2014

Today was the worst day of our vacation, because the crowds were really big. I guess that was due to the French Annual Pass holders storming the parks. However we used the Extra Magic Hours again to ride Buzz Lightyear's Laser Blast and Space Mountain in Discoveryland and Le Carrousel De Lancelot in Fantasyland.

For breakfast we left the park and went to Starbucks in the Disney Village. There we had a nice cup of coffee and a fruit salad. Afterwards we decided to go to the Walt Disney Studios Park and got a Fastpass for the Tower of Terror. Meanwhile we just strolled around the shops.

Later we had an early lunch at the En Coulisse Restaurant. Like yesterday evening we ordered fries and a salad and enjoyed a quite lunch upstairs from where we had a nice view over Studio 1. Then it was time for our Tower of Terror Fastpass.

After a trip into the Twilight Zone, we watched Cinemagique, one of Walt Disney Imagineering's best shows. This attraction takes you on a journey through the history of cinema and for us it is a must see whenever we are at Disneyland Paris.

Since the crowds got bigger and bigger, we decided to leave the parks and returned to the hotel to rest a bit. But before we spent some time in the Disney stores in the Village. Back at Val D'Europe we paid a visit to the L'Agape Pub and then we relaxed a bit at the hotel.

When we returned to the Disney Resort, the parks were still crowded and so it was time for another visit to Cafe Fantasia inside the Disneyland Hotel. This bar is such a nice and cosy place and perfect to escape the crowds in the parks.

Afterwards we hit the Disneyland Park again and our first stop was Pirates of the Caribbean. Later we walked over to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril and surprisingly the line wasn't that long and so we queued.

We spent the rest of the evening just walking around the park enjoying the atmosphere and checking out the shops.

Disneyland Paris 2014 - Part 4

Another Day At Disneyland Paris

Saturday - January 4th 2014

Today we expected the crowds to be even bigger than yesterday, but to our surprise the parks weren't that crowded. Like the days before we used the Extra Magic Hours to ride Buzz Lightyear's Laser Blast and Space Mountain and afterwards it was time for a breakfast coffee at the Cable Car Bake Shop on Main Street USA.

After a hot cup of coffee we headed over to Frontierland to be among the first to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and to do the Phantom Manor. It was interesting to see that more people were queuing for the Fastpasses instead of going on the ride.

We still had plenty of time until our lunch reservation at the Agrabah Cafe and so we walked back to Discoveryland to tkae a journey with Star Tours into the Star Wars Universe. Back on Earth it started to rain, but luckily Captain EO next door was about to begin and so we decided to give the show a try. This 3D movie made by George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola starring Michael Jackson was a first time for us and honestly it wasn't that bad considering its age.

Now it was time for lunch at the Agrabah Cafe and the rain was gone as well. Soon after we arrived at the restaurant, we got seated and the feast could begin. We ordered a glass of wine and the food from the buffet was as delicious as always.

After a relaxing lunch Claudia and I joined the Pirates on a cruise through the Caribbean. I'm a big fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, but I'm glad that Disneyland Paris still has the original version without Captain Jack Sparrow.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril was next on our To-Do List and after a thrilling ride through the old temple, we walked back to Discoveryland, because Les Mysteres du Nautilus, a walk through Captain Nemo's submarine, was finally open. Luckily we survided the squid attack.

Before we walked over to the Walt Disney Studios Park, we took a break at Cafe Fantasia. In the Studios we had an early dinner at the En Coulisse Restaurant with fries and a salad and then we only rode the Tower of Terror and Rock'n'Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith.
