Toblach 2026 - Part 1

Arriving In Toblach

Like in recent years we wanted to spend our birthdays skiing, but this time we decided to try a couple of new ski resorts outside of Austria in South Tyrol in Italy. After work we hit the road and we drove to Toblach, where we had already been last autumn. On the way we stopped at s small shopping center for dinner before arriving at our hotel. We stayed again at Hotel Patris, which we liked a lot during our last visit. It felt like coming home, becuase the staff was so nice and while checking in we were offered a welcome drinks and a cheese plate. After we got another drink, we headed to our room, where our luggage was already waiting for us.

Toblach 2026 - Part 2

Skiing At Kronplatz

Thursday - March 12th 2026

Today was my birthday and I was surprised with a lovely decorated breakfast table and birthday pancake from the kitchen. After breakfast we drove to our first ski resort about half an hour from Toblach called Kronplatz. Once we purchased our tickets we were ready to hit the slopes. The ski resort was rather big and offered many different ski runs. Later in the morning we stopped at an outdoor bar for a birthday drink and at noon we found a lovely hut, where we shared pasta and tiramisu for lunch.

In the afternoon we drove back to the hotel to spend the rest of the day in the hotel's spa. After a skiing day it was really nice to relax in the heated outdoor pool and in the sauna. Later we had a reservation at Pizzeria Hans, where we had already eaten during our last visit. For dinner we both got a pizza and shared tiramisu and ice cream for dessert. Back at the hotel we got a couple of drinks to clebrate my birthday before calling it a day and relaxing in front of the TV.

Toblach 2026 - Part 3

Skiing At Drei Zinnen

Friday - March 13th 2026

Our second day started with a lovely breakfast before trying out another ski resort. Today we planned to go skiing at Drei Zinnen Dolomites just a couple of minutes from Toblach by car. The weather was really nice today with blue skies and the sun shining. Maybe it was the better weather, but we enjoyed this ski resort much more than Kronplatz. For lunch we stopped at Zin Fux, a modern ski restaurant. Claudia got a traditional South Tyrolian dish, while I ordered traditional Italian pasta, and of course we shared a tiramisu for dessert. In the afternoon we headed back to our starting point and called it a day. Before returning to the hotel we got an Aperol Spritz at the Apres Ski Bar and enjoyed the lovely wather in the sun.

On the way back to the hotel we got some sweet treats which we enjoyed on our balcony. The rest of the afternoon we spent relaxing in the hotel's spa area until it was time for dinner. Today we wanted to try a local burger restaurant called Eirisch Grill. Claudia and I both got the plant based burger with fries which was really nice. Afterwards we checked out the supermarket before walking back to the hotel.
