Lusail City

After exploring Doha and Meryal Waterpark we decided to spend the day at the
pool, but first it was time for breakfast. Before heading to the pool we
stopped at Starbucks at Doha City Center Mall for iced coffee. We had a very
relaxing morning at the pool and for lunch we tried Quick Bites, a quick
service restaurant in our hotel. There we ordered a salad and avocado toast
with scrambled eggs. Back at the pool we enjoyed the rest of the afternoon
with swimming and sunbathing.
In the afternoon Claudia and I drove to Lusail City, a newly constructed
neighbourhood for the FIFA World Cup in 2022. We really liked Lusail with all
the modern buildings, but unfortunately there wasn't anything going on there.
The whole area was deserted with just a couple of cafes being open, however,
there were no guests around. So we just strolled around the amazing looking
Lusail Towers and before we left again we stopped at Starbucks. Afterwards we
planned to have dinner at the Cheesecake Factory again. We assumed there was
one at Place Vendome Mall, but once we arrived there, we realized that we were
wrong. So we hit the road again and drove to
Festival City Mall, where we could finally have dinner at the
Cheesecake Factory. We ordered way too much food, but the flat bread, the quaesadilas and the
avocado spring rolls were delicious. Although we were so full, we still had to
get a cheesecake. Afterwards we checked out the mall, bought some clothes.
Back at the hotel we enjoyed a beer at the hotel bar before calling it a
day.
