Bike Tour To Toplitz See
Saturday - August 13th 2022
Since the weather was really nice today, we decided to rent some e-bikes and
take a bike tour to Lake Toplitz. After breakfast we hit the road and tried to
get used to e-bikes. It was our first time to use e-bikes and they were a lot
of fun and easy to handle. Along the was we stopped in the village of Bad
Aussee, where we jsut strolled around and checked out an antiques market in
the park. As a fun fact Bad Aussee is the geographic centre of Austria.

Once we left Bad Aussee behind we reached Lake Grundlsee and from there we
still had a couple of kilometres to go until we arrived at Lake Toplitz. There
we wanted to get something to eat and luckily the only restaurant by the lake
even offered some vegan options. While I got the potatoe soup Claudia ordered
the lentil stew. Then we cycled back to Bad Aussee where we got ice cream
before returning to our hotel.

Back at the hotel we went swimming at the hotel pool and the we got ready for
dinner, which started with a salad and a vegetable mousse. Next was a soup
with a fried spring roll in it for Claudia while I had creamy garlic soup. For
the main course we got a delcious risotto and for the dessert we had sweet
dumplings filled with marmelade. We ended our day with drinks on our balcony
and watching TV.
