Travelday
Saturday - August 14th 2021
Today was a travel day, because we left France and drove to Germany to visit
our last themepark during this trip. After breakfast we hit the motorway
towards Ludwigsburh near Stuttgart, where we arrived in the afternoon. On the
way we stopped at McDonald's for lunch. In Ludwigsburg we stayed at the
NH Hotel
and luckily our room was already available when we arrived. Check in was quick
and once we unpacked our stuff, we decided to walk into the inner city to get
a welcome drink at a bar. Unfortunately a thunderstorm hit the city and so we
had to get a drink at the hotel bar instead. However, soon the sun came out
again and we took a walk through the old town.

It was still too early for dinner and so we stopped at a lovely cafe at the
town square for a glass of wine. Later we tried the local vegan restaurant
V-Bandits. Claudia got a salad and I tried the vegan meatballs with potato salad.
The food was okay, but a bit on the pricey side. Afterwards we walked to
Ludwigsburg Palace to check out the beautiful garden. Back at the hotel we
had another drink and spent the rest of the evening in front of the TV.
