Disneyland Paris 2006/2007 - Part 2

New Year's Eve

Sunday - December 31st 2006

Today we had breakfast in the park. Since there weren't as many people as in spring and it was still dark, we had breakfast first and then we used the extra time to ride all the Fantasyland attractions, which get very busy during the day. First was Le Carousel de Lancelot followed by Pinocchio, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Peter Pan's Flight and Dumbo.

When the rest of the park opened we headed over to Frontierland to ride Phantom Manor and Big Thunder Mountain. Phantom Manor takes you through a haunted house and it is one of Disney's best attractions.

Later we walked over to Walt Disney Studios Park right in time for Cinemagique, a movie that takes you through several classic movies in film history.

After Cinemagique and Animagique, a cute black light show, it was time for the fastest attraction at Disneyland Paris, Rock'n'Roller Coaster Avec Aerosmith.

Since the Studios Park didn't offer many attractions, we returned to the Disneyland Park. The lines were long at the main attractions and so we took the Disneyland Railroad which circles the park.

We got off the train in Fantasyland and headed over to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril. Last time the ride wasn't open and so we were happy to experience the roller coaster. Although it was a bit rough, we enjoyed the ride.

Then we had a late lunch at the Hakuna Matata Restaurant in Adventureland. We both ordered Chicken with Fries and a Coke.

Since that day was New Year's Eve the park stayed open until one o'clock, we went back to the hotel to rest a bit for the evening, but before we rode Pirates of the Caribbean and walked around the park to shoot some pictures.

Back in the park we had dinner at Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost and to our surprise we found a table very quick. We have never seen so many people in the park like on that day. The weather was very bad and so we lined up for over an hour at Space Mountain, because the queue was inside the building. Outside it was raining heavily. Before midnight we bought two glasses of champagne and then we watched the New Year's fireworks from Main Street USA and welcomed 2007!
