Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi
Saturday - May 11th 2024
Today we visited
Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, the last themepark of our trip. The indoor park was located just behind
our hotel and opened in the late morning. So we slept in and after a late
breakfast we got ready for a fun day in the park. Once we were inside the
park we watched the Welcome Show on the Warner Bros. Plaza and then we
headed to Metropolis. The left hand side of the park was based on the DC
Comics, while the other sides was based on the classic Warner Bros Cartoons,
like The Flintstones. Our first ride was Justice League: Warworld Attacks,
which was a fun dark ride, but nothing spectacular, followed by Green
Lantern: Galactic Odyssey, a flying theatre. Next was Gotham City, where we
rode Batman Knight Flight, definitely the best attraction at Warner Bros.
World. In that action packed ride we helped Batman keeping Gotham City safe.
The Gotham City area of the park looked amazing and offered a couple more
rides and a funhouse themed after Batman's antagonist Joker. I didn't like
the fun house a lot, but it looked cool. Riddler's Revolution on the other
was pretty good.

After we left the DC Comics lands behind, we entered Cartoon Junction. There
we got in line for Scooby-Doo! The Museum of Mysteries. In that lovely dark
ride we had to help Scooby and his gang to solve the mysteries of the
museum. We also wanted to ride Tom & Jerry: Swiss Cheese Spin coaster,
but the wait time was just too long. So we continued to Dynamite Gulch to
ride the other rollercoaster in the park called Fast & Furry-Ous, a
Vekoma suspended coaster. Unfortunately the ride broke down just when it was
our time, but we were allowed to skip the line once it reopened. Instead we
headed to Bedrock, the village of The Flinstones and got lunch at Bronto
Burgers. Claudia and I both ordered the plant based Impossible Burger with
fries. Afterwards the coaster was running again and we were really allowed
to skip the line. The coaster itself was fun, but way too short.

Now we walked back to Cartoon Junction and queued for Animayhem, a shooter
dark ride like Disney's Toy Story Mania. This area of the park was more family
oriented and so the wait times climbed and climbed. Therefore we bought
popcorn and walked back to Matropolis, because we hadn't experienced Superman
360: Bettle for Metropolis yet. In that 360 degree 3D cinema we follow
Superman defending Metropolis against enemies. Afterwards we just walked
around the park and checked out the shops, because we had done all the
attractions we wanted to do.
