First Full Day At Disneyland Paris
Monday - October 17th 2022
Today was our first full day at Disneyland Paris. Sleeping in was not an
option since we wanted to make use of the Extra Magic Hour and so we headed
straight to Starbucks in Disney Village after we got up. With coffees in our
hands we were on our way to Disneyland Park. Our first stop was the dragon
beneath the castle, because it was closed during the pandemic. Next was Star
Wars Hyperspace Mountain in Disceoveryland. Despite the Star Wars theme it was
still a fantastic rollercoaster. Afterwards we helped Buzz Lightyear to defeat
Emperor Zurg in Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast. Now it was time for a breakfast at
Cable Car Bake Shop, where we both ordered the Mickey beignet filled with
chocolate.

After our late breakfast the rest of the park opened and we headed over to
Frontierland to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The wildest ride in the
wilderness was great as always and then Claudia and I traveled the Molly Brown
riverboat along the Rivers of the Far West. Once we returned from our river
boat tour, we did Phantom Manor. For today we had a lunch reservation at
Silver Spur Steakhouse, but since we still had some time to kill we rode
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril in Adventureland before checking out the
Halloween decorations in Frontierland inspired by Pixar's movie Coco.

Finally it was time for our reservation and soon were were seated by the
lovely stuff. Claudia and I both ordered the plant based skewers. For
starter we got a salad and for the dessert a Napoleon cake. The whole meal
was really delicious. After lunch we did some shopping and since it started
to rain, we decided to return to the hotel and relax a bit. Later we spent
some time at the Sports Bar in Disney Village before having dinner at Fuente
Del Oro, where we tried the vegan burrito. Suprisingly the burrito was very
good. On the way back to the hotel we stopped at Main Street to get a glass
of champagne to celebrate Disneyland Paris' 30th anniversary.
