Florida 2022 - Part 14

Magic Kingdom

Friday - April 15th 2022

Magic Kingdom is our least favourite park at Walt Disney World, but we still spent a second day there. We made use of the Extra Magic Time and started our day with Carousel of Progress, a must do for us. Then we got a coffee at Starbucks and waited for our Lightning Lane reservation for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Since we hadn't had a proper breakfast yeat, except for coffee, we decided to try the cinnamon buns from Gaston's Tavern. To be honest, I didn't like them, they just tasted rather bland. The rest of the morning we used to stroll through the park and check out the shops.

Later we stopped for an early lunch at Casey's corner. There we both got the plant based hot dog with fries. All I can say that they were really delicious. Of course we had to get dessert as well and so we stopped for a Dole whip in Adventureland. To our surprise the waiting time for Pirates of the Caribbean was rather short and so we got in line. Afterwards we used our Lightning Lane ticket for Big Thunder Mountain before heading back to Starbucks to get an iced coffee.

Since it got pretty crowded and the weather was so hot, we left Magic Kingdom to spend the afternoon at the pool. Unfortunately it took forever a bus to arrive to take us back to the hotel That's why I'm just not a big fan of Walt Disney World. The transportations system is just not reliable and usually we prefer to walk, but that's not possible at Disney World. Back at Pop Century Resort we got a beer at Petals, the hotel's pool bar, and then we got ready for an evening at Disney Springs. There we tried the vegan hot dog at B.B. Wolfe's, which was delicious, and additionally we also got the vegan meatball sub at Earl of Sandwich. After dinner we got a couple of beers and enjoyed our time exploring the shops and buying souvenirs.
