Florida 2022 - Part 10

Disney's Hollywood Studios

Monday - April 11th 2022

Today it was finally time for Star Wars - Rise of the Resistance, because we got Lightning Lane tickets for Disney's latest blockbuster attraction. After coffee we took the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios. Once inside the park we headed straight to Rock'n'Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. Despite its age it is still a fun rollercoaster and I'm a little bit sad that Rock'n'Roller Coaster had to go at Disneyland Paris.

Next was Star Wars - Rise of the Resistance at Star wars Galaxy's Edge. We were really excited when we entered the queue, since we had heard so many positive things about the attraction. Needless to say our expectations were really high and we weren't disappointed at all, in fact I enjoyed the ride so much that it might be my most favourite themepark attraction. After that amazing experience we decided to get breakfast Ronto Roasters. Claudia and I both ordered the vegan Triple Suns Breakfast Wrap, which was so delicious. Our culinary journey through the Star Wars universe wasn't over yet, since we also had to get Blue and Green Milk. The drinks were okay, but we liked the blue one better.

After exploring Batuu we just strolled though Hollywood Studios to check out the merchandise. The crowds got really big and so did the wait times. Additionally it got so hot around noon so that we left the park and headed back to the hotel to relax at the pool. On the way we stopped for iced coffee at Joffrey's Coffee next to the main Skyliner station. Back at Pop Century Resort we changed into our bathing clothes and spent most of the afternoon with ice cold beers at the pool. For lunch we got the vegan Impossible Burger at the food court.

In the late afternoon we returned to Disney's Hollywood Studios, becuase we had a reservation for Oga's Cantina. The moment we stepped into that bar, it felt like we were in a Star Wars movie. The bar looked fantastic and so were the drinks. Of course we got cocktails and enjoyed the atmosphere. Unfortunately guests only have an hour to spend inside the cantina and after our second drink we had to leave. Afterwards we got in line for Toy Story Mania, another favourite of ours, and like always, Claudia has beaten me. To get over my defeat we bought a Micky Ice Cream Bar while waiting for Slinky Dog Dash, a family rollercoaster. The coaster was fine, but nothing special. Afterwards we left the park again and took a walk to Disney's Boardwalk and from there to Epcot's Skyliner station to travel back to our hotel. For dinner we shared fries and a veggie burger at the food court before spending the rest of the evening in our room watching TV.
