Holland - Belgium River Cruise - Part 6

Easter Sunday In Ghent

Sunday - April 5th 2015

Today was Easter Sunday and the kitchen crew prepared a special Easter brunch. So after we got up, we had a small breakfast and then, since the weather was fine, we spent some time on the sundeck until the brunch started. There was a lot to choose from the buffet and of course we tried everything.

In the early afternoon MS Inspire arrived in Ghent, Belgium. Unfortunately the harbour was outside the city and so we had to take the shuttle bus. Once in the city, we just strolled around this really beautiful town. Ghent is lovely and full of old and magnificent buildings. After a short break in a Belgian beer bar, we visited some of the churches and before we had to catch the bus back to the ship, we had another Belgian beer.

In the evening after dinner, a Belgian chocolatier did a presentation about how chocolate and pralines are made. Of course we could try some samples and everyone who knows Belgian chocolate would have liked them a lot. After a cocktail at the bar, it was time for bed.
