Holland - Belgium River Cruise - Part 4

Visiting Rotterdam

Friday - April 3rd 2015

Today we arrived at our first stop. After breakfast we left the ship to visit the Windmills of Kinderdijk, which are part of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. These windmills are still functional and can be visited. We didn't book a tour to see them from the inside, instead we just walked around and took some pictures. Two hours later the ship was already on its way to Rotterdam. Before we arrived in Rotterdam, home to Europe's biggest harbour, we had lunch on board the ship.

In the early afternoon MS Inspire arrived in Rotterdam and of course we left the ship as soon as possible. We walked straight into the inner city and checked out the shopping streets. Since there wasn't anything interestig to do, we decided to get a glass of beer at the huge MRDV market hall. Later we returned to the ship and had a drink at the Panorama Lounge. There they served some snacks and of course we tried them too. While MS Inspire was departing Rotterdam, dinner was served at the restaurant. After dinner we arrived in Dordrecht, but since it was already late and dark outside, we didn't walk into the small town. Instead we spent the rest of the evening at the Panorama Lounge and had a cocktail.
