Weinviertel

Austria is home to a couple of fantastic wine regions and this weekend Claudia
and I were about to visit the so called Weinviertel in Lower Austria. Friday
after work we were on our way and four hours later we arrived in Mailberg,
where we stayed at
Hotel Castle Mailberg. We booked a Standard Room, which was fine, but nothing special. After we
checked in, we hit the road again to get dinner at restaurant
Hanfwirt. The restaurant was recommended to us because there they offered some vegan
options. A delicious vegan dinner later we drove back to our hotel.

Back at the hotel we decided to walk down into the village to get a glass of
wine at a local wine bar. After a short walk through the village we decided to
stop at
Wine Bar Hagn. To our surprise the bar was quite full, but we found a nice place in the
outside lounge. After two glasses of wine we headed back to the hotel.
